Strawberry Social - date: WAS Saturday June 7th 2008 From 10am to 3pm
By selling hot dogs, Hamburgers,pop and chips at our booth along with all the festivities of the Strawberry Social. We were able to raise funds to make a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank. It is no secret that are economy is not as strong as it once was. Many of your neighbours who generously gave to causes such as this have now found themselves knocking on the food bank door for assistance. I think everyone who reads this knows of a family or relative in our community that has lost or is about to become unemployed. These are proud people that may have to choose between eating and making a mortgage payment, until they can find other sources of income. This is your opportunity to make a difference here at home in your own community by remembering to support our local food banks and other local charities such as ours.
